Shri Mataji, the woman on the poster
Every now and then when I would have the television on I would come across a show with a very beautiful and interesting Indian Woman who captivated me. This Woman always made me feel as though I wanted to know more, and I can remember Her speaking about the hands, on the palms of your hands, your hands will speak, numbers representing your hand etc. Little did I know that I would now embark on the greatest journey of my life. At the end of the show there was always a telephone number that would be on the screen and every time I called the number there was never an answer. I wanted so to find out more, but I just couldn't get through.

About a year went by when walking on the street in Yonkers I saw a poster of a beautiful Indian Woman in a pizzeria, and I just stopped and stared. I did not know that this was the same Woman from the show. I was on my way for a session of Jin Shin Jytsu (Japanese accupressure). I was always looking for ways to feel better then I did because I suffered from chronic pain (from an injury), felt depressed quite often, and I wanted more than I saw THIS life could offer. I tried many different paths but still came up unfulfilled until I found SAHAJA YOGA.

It was a Tuesday and I was at work when I thought "Gee I'd like to meditate," and on Friday one of my clients came into my place and told me about this great yoga called SAHAJA YOGA. Jerri gave me the phone number of a contact person and I went to my first meeting on September 5, 1994. I started meditating from that time on with SAHAJA YOGA every day, and my life just keeps getting better and better. No more pain or depression. I just feel good ALL the time.

As Shri Mataji says " you feel joy." Joy is the feeling that stays with you because you are now connected with the source of PURE JOY. Try meditating with SAHAJA YOGA so you can also understand and FEEL PURE JOY.
